Tuurist - Undergraduate thesis (MEB)

For my undergraduate thesis during my MEB (Media and Entertainment Business) course, everyone had to submit their best media concept. A friend of mine was among the winning concepts and thus would be the CEO of her mini-company. After months of laughing together, discussing together and working together, we came up with this wonderful concept.
Tuurist is an app concept that increases cultural interest and visits in Flanders and Brussels through gamification and personalization. The focus lies also on making all cultural information, culture passes and ticket sales easy to find on one platform only. By promoting staycation and providing maximum support to the cultural sector, we neutralize the economic damage caused by the corona crisis. And at the same time, we want to activate people to be more involved with culture by giving culture a sexier image.

We had concrete roles for each team member; I was assigned the role CPO. In our case, the Chief Product Officer had to develop the product visually. So I also created a nice Adobe XD prototype that was fully functional. I also did a few different rounds of user testing which showed that our prototype was one of the better ones. Next, I created a script with the most important visual components such as logos, colors, fonts, etc.
