Requirements Analysis

For the Requirements Analysis course, my team and I analyzed the cycling club 'Platte Berg'. This cycling club had some administrative difficulties including keeping track of all members, organizing rides and gathering volunteers for events. This is obviously a very big responsibility that was divided by all the board members but also by several Excel files.

As a team, we worked together on an analysis. This included different parts such as a requirements analysis, a priority analysis and the Analysis and Design Report. As a team, we created a use case diagram discussing all the functional requirements. Each of us then took on one or two functional requirements and created a prototype for it. Since I had created a prototype I was also in charge of the overall design of the prototypes, this means that all the colours matched and the layout looked the same. Therefore, I also checked the layout of the analysis and design report. Each put their prototype and accompanying text in the report and together we did the priority analysis.

The project had tremendous ups and downs. Through the project, I learned to work with different personalities. As a result, I also know which personalities I can work better within a team than others. I have found that it is better to resolve a conflict with the help of an external or tutors who try to make sure that all 2 parties that the conflict is with feel heard.
